Truck Driver

Jacko Logistics is seeking a dependable CDL-A Truck Driver to join our Tampa-based team. In this role, you'll haul freight across regional routes, focusing on safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries. You'll perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards, and keep accurate electronic logs and paperwork. You'll work closely with dispatch and customers, communicating clearly about load status and delivery times. As part of our team-oriented, customer-first culture, you'll contribute ideas to improve routes, service quality, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailers for regional freight routes with a focus on on-time delivery
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations, including pre/post-trip inspections and hours-of-service rules
• Secure, load, and unload freight as needed while protecting cargo integrity and minimizing damage
• Maintain accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation using electronic logging devices and mobile apps
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and terminal staff regarding ETAs, delays, and load status
• Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report maintenance or repair needs
• Support a customer-first culture by providing professional, courteous service at all pickup and delivery locations
• Contribute ideas to improve route efficiency, fuel savings, safety, and overall service quality
• Adhere to company policies on PPE, incident reporting, and safe driving standards in all conditions
• Represent Jacko Logistics professionally on the road, maintaining a clean truck and positive brand image
