Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach beginner to intermediate students of varying ages, focusing on proper technique, music reading, and performance skills for band and orchestra instruments. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, tracking student progress, communicating with parents, and supporting recitals and events. You'll collaborate with store staff to promote lessons and maintain a welcoming, student-focused environment that supports our mission of expanding access to music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curricula
• Teach music reading, technique, and performance skills on assigned instruments
• Assess and track student progress and provide feedback
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development
• Support and prepare students for recitals, performances, and events
• Collaborate with store staff to promote lessons and retain students
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Advise students and families on instruments, accessories, and practice habits
• Uphold Music & Arts' standards for customer service and music education
