Strings Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Strings Teacher to provide inspiring private and small-group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach violin, viola, cello, or bass to students of all ages, focusing on strong technique, musicianship, and a love of learning. You'll design lesson plans, track progress, and prepare students for performances and auditions. Working closely with store staff and school partners, you'll help connect families with quality instruments, rentals, and accessories while supporting a collaborative, student-focused, and community-driven music education environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging private and group strings lessons for students of varied ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans that build strong technical and musical foundations
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and communicate with parents and guardians regularly
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school ensemble participation
• Support in-store sales of string instruments, accessories, and lesson programs
• Maintain accurate scheduling, attendance, and basic student records
• Collaborate with store staff and educators to support school and community music programs
• Care for teaching instruments and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
