Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Music Teacher to deliver high-quality private and group lessons in Store 3452. In this student-focused role, you'll teach a primary instrument and basic music theory, assess progress, and prepare students for performances. You'll collaborate with store staff to grow lesson enrollment, support recitals, and promote instruments and accessories that enhance learning. Ideal candidates have strong performance or teaching experience, comfort working with beginners to advanced students, and a passion for music education in a mission-driven retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in-store
• Deliver engaging, curriculum-based instruction on designated instruments and basic music theory
• Assess student progress, set learning goals, and prepare students for recitals and performances
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance, and progress records
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment, recitals, and in-store events
• Communicate regularly with parents and students about progress, goals, and practice expectations
• Ensure proper care, use, and set-up of instruments and teaching spaces
• Promote additional lessons, instruments, and accessories that support student learning
• Participate in occasional community outreach and school-related music education events
