Planning and Turnaround Superintendent

CF Industries is seeking a Planning and Turnaround Superintendent to lead maintenance planning and major turnaround events across our software and IT operations. In this role, you will design and manage detailed plans for scheduled outages, upgrades, and reliability projects, ensuring minimal downtime and strong alignment with business priorities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, optimize schedules and resources, and track performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. This hybrid position suits a detail-oriented leader experienced in complex planning, risk management, and operational excellence in a technology-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed maintenance and turnaround plans for critical IT and software systems
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute planned outages and system upgrades with minimal disruption
• Optimize schedules, resources, and budgets to improve reliability and reduce downtime
• Implement and refine planning tools, workflows, and KPIs to enhance operational performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards during all turnaround activities
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to prioritize and scope work
• Analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and update maintenance strategies
• Lead risk assessments and contingency planning for major maintenance and upgrade events
• Prepare status reports and communicate timelines, risks, and outcomes to leadership
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior planners or coordinators
