Lead Financial Reporting Analyst

Ameritas is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to own and enhance our financial reporting for life insurance, annuities, and retirement products. You'll lead GAAP and statutory reporting, analyze results, and translate insights for senior leaders. Partnering with accounting, actuarial, and business teams, you'll improve processes, strengthen controls, and support regulatory and audit needs. Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and analysis of GAAP and statutory financial statements for Ameritas business lines
• Develop, document, and enhance financial reporting processes, controls, and documentation
• Perform variance, trend, and profitability analysis to provide insights to finance and business leaders
• Partner with accounting, actuarial, and business teams to ensure accurate, timely data and reporting
• Support regulatory, audit, and management reporting, including schedules and disclosures
• Design and maintain reporting dashboards, models, and templates using Excel and financial systems
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in reporting
• Translate complex financial results into clear narratives and presentations for senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls, and external regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a collaborative, people-centered team culture
