Lead HVAC Installer

Guy Smith Home Services is seeking a Lead HVAC Installer to manage residential install projects in Rocky Mount, NC. You'll lead a small crew installing, replacing, and upgrading HVAC systems, ensuring quality workmanship, code compliance, and safe operations. Responsibilities include site assessments, ductwork and equipment installation, start-up and testing, and clear communication with homeowners. You'll mentor junior techs, coordinate with office staff, and uphold our customer-first, family-oriented values on every job.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC installation and replacement projects from start to finish.
• Perform site assessments, equipment placement, and ductwork layout.
• Install, wire, and start up HVAC systems to code and manufacturer specs.
• Test system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about work scope, options, and maintenance.
• Train and mentor junior installers and helpers on best practices and safety.
• Coordinate scheduling, materials, and job status with office staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful job sites in occupied homes.
