Executive Underwriter

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist / Executive Underwriter - Large Property to analyze, price, and underwrite complex commercial property risks. You will evaluate submissions, perform risk and coverage analysis, structure terms, and maintain a profitable portfolio while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines. Partnering closely with brokers and clients, you will craft tailored solutions, negotiate terms, and support key renewals. You'll collaborate with risk engineering, claims, and global teams, mentor junior underwriters, and contribute to Zurich's customer-centric, sustainable underwriting strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite large and complex commercial property risks within delegated authority.
• Develop pricing, coverage structures, and terms aligned with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• Manage a profitable property portfolio, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with brokers and clients to structure tailored insurance solutions and negotiate terms.
• Partner with risk engineering, claims, actuarial, and global teams on complex accounts and programs.
• Review and approve endorsements, policy wordings, and referrals to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support key renewals, strategic accounts, and new business opportunities in target segments.
• Mentor junior underwriters, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and documentation standards.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy, tools, and process improvement initiatives.
