HVAC Service Technician

Burns & McBride is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems across the greater Wilmington area. In this field-based role, you'll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, complete accurate service documentation, and educate customers on equipment operation and maintenance options. You'll work within a customer-first, safety-focused culture and gain hands-on experience with modern HVAC technologies while supporting a trusted local home comfort provider.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, and indoor air quality equipment
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions to customers
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards
• Accurately document services performed, parts used, and recommendations
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and maintenance plans
• Collaborate with dispatch and team members to manage daily schedule and priorities
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean and working order
