CDL A Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer hauling flatbed freight regionally and long haul
• Secure, tarp, and inspect flatbed loads according to company and DOT standards
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer
• Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Accurately use ELDs and complete required logs and freight documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations on load status
• Plan routes, manage hours of service, and meet on-time pickup and delivery schedules
• Care for company equipment, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols in varied weather and road conditions
• Represent Central Oregon Truck Company professionally with customers and the public
