Residential Service Plumber

Burns&McBride is seeking a Residential Service Plumber to diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems for residential and light commercial customers across the greater Wilmington area. In this customer-first, safety-focused role, you'll troubleshoot leaks, clogs, water heaters, and piping, recommend solutions, and provide clear, honest communication. Work closely with our HVAC and home comfort teams, follow all safety and code requirements, complete accurate documentation, and help maintain our reputation for reliability and long-term community trust.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and fixture failures
• Install and service water heaters, fixtures, and piping to code and manufacturer specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on plumbing systems
• Communicate findings, options, pricing, and recommendations clearly to customers
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets or digital systems
• Follow all safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures on every job
• Collaborate with HVAC and home comfort technicians to deliver integrated service solutions
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, safe working condition
• Support on-call or emergency service rotations as needed
