Utility Locator

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a Utility Locator to identify and mark underground utilities for telecommunications, energy, and utility providers. In this field-based role, you will use advanced locating equipment, maps, and standardized procedures to accurately mark buried facilities and help prevent damage. Responsibilities include reading work orders, interpreting utility records, documenting work, and communicating with contractors and customers. Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate field locating of underground utilities using company-provided equipment and maps
• Review work orders, plans, and records to identify locate areas and utility types
• Mark the location of buried facilities with paint, flags, or other approved methods
• Document work performed, including sketches, photos, and digital records, in company systems
• Communicate with contractors, customers, and supervisors to clarify locate requests and site conditions
• Follow all safety procedures, traffic control practices, and PPE requirements in the field
• Work independently to manage daily schedule, route, and workload priorities
• Report damaged or mismarked facilities and assist in incident documentation and prevention
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools in clean, safe operating condition
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on standards, technology, and best practices
