Checkout Operator

As a Self-Checkout Host at Sprouts Farmers Market, you'll guide customers through a smooth, friendly self-checkout experience. You'll greet shoppers, assist with scanning and bagging, resolve register prompts, verify age-restricted purchases, and ensure accurate payments. You'll monitor lanes for safety, prevent shrink, and keep the area clean and organized. Working closely with the Customer Service & Support team, you'll embody Sprouts' focus on healthy living, inclusion, and community while helping customers complete their shopping with confidence and ease.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and assist customers using self-checkout lanes
• Guide customers through scanning, bagging, and payment steps
• Monitor self-checkout terminals to quickly resolve issues and alerts
• Verify and process age-restricted and special-item purchases per policy
• Ensure accurate cash, card, and digital transactions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized self-checkout area
• Support loss prevention and minimize shrink through attentive monitoring
• Provide friendly, solution-focused service and de-escalate concerns
• Collaborate with Customer Service & Support team members as needed
