Janitorial Maintenance Worker

Pilot Company, the largest operator of travel centers in North America, is seeking a diligent Janitorial Maintenance team member to help maintain the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that our travel centers remain welcoming and provide a safe, clean environment for travelers and truck drivers alike. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within the travel center, including but not limited to restrooms, common areas, and parking lots.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Handle minor maintenance and repair tasks such as replacing light bulbs and fixing simple plumbing issues.
• Ensure all bathrooms are stocked with necessary supplies like soap and paper products.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Report any major repair issues or hazards to the management team immediately.
• Assist in preparing facilities for changing weather conditions, especially in preparation for winter months.

Required Skills

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Basic handyman skills for minor repairs.
