Responsibilities

• Transporting freight securely and efficiently across the United States in a dry van setup.
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Managing documentation related to deliveries, including logs and freight bills.
• Ensuring the integrity and safety of the cargo during transit.
• Reporting defects, accidents, or violations immediately.

Required Skills

• Strong driving skills and familiarity with dry van operations.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
