CDL A Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor trailer equipment on regional and long haul routes
• Transport freight on expedited, dedicated, and regional lanes while meeting on time delivery expectations
• Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety policies, including hours of service regulations
• Conduct thorough pre trip, en route, and post trip inspections of equipment
• Secure, verify, and protect freight to prevent damage, loss, and claims
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required documentation
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members
• Practice defensive driving and hazard awareness in all weather and traffic conditions
• Care for company equipment, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Represent Covenant Transport's values of safety, integrity, and customer service on every load
