Intermountain Health seeks an Echo/Vascular Technologist I to perform high-quality cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will acquire and analyze diagnostic images, follow established protocols, and collaborate closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams. You will ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, document findings in the electronic medical record, and support quality improvement initiatives while working in a patient-centered, mission-driven environment with strong opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies per protocol
  • Acquire, optimize, and analyze diagnostic images for accurate interpretation
  • Ensure patient identification, safety, comfort, and informed exam explanation
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and care teams on clinical needs
  • Document procedures and preliminary technical findings in the EMRMaintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate service for ultrasound equipment
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and exam prioritization
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain certifications and clinical competence
