Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams in our patient-centered, team-based environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while maintaining comfort and dignity
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards for patients and staff
  • Verify patient identity, medical history, and exam requirements in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
  • Evaluate image quality and repeat studies only when medically necessary
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and follow-up as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and departmental initiatives

Required Skills

  • Diagnostic radiography (X-ray)
  • Operation of digital imaging systems (CR/DR)
  • Radiation safety and protection
  • Patient positioning and immobilization
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging
  • Use of PACS and RIS/EHR systems
  • Venipuncture and contrast administration (if applicable)
  • Infection prevention and control procedures
  • Exam protocol selection and adjustment
  • Basic life support (BLS/CPR)
