Badger Daylighting is seeking a Regional Service Technician to maintain and repair hydrovac and automotive equipment supporting construction projects. This field-based role troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, performs preventative maintenance, and supports safe, reliable fleet operation across an assigned region. You'll travel to customer and field sites, complete service documentation, and collaborate with operators and supervisors. Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydrovac trucks and automotive/fleet equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical and vacuum systems
- Respond to field service calls within the assigned region to minimize downtime
- Document all work performed, parts used, and inspection results accurately
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to schedule and prioritize repairs
- Ensure all work complies with Badger safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct pre- and post-maintenance testing to verify equipment performance
- Maintain tools, service truck, and work areas in safe, organized condition
- Support training of operators on basic equipment care and inspection
- Communicate recurring equipment issues and improvement ideas to management
