Volunteer Services Senior Specialist

The American National Red Cross seeks a Volunteer Services Senior Specialist to lead volunteer engagement and support mission delivery. You will recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers for disaster response, blood drives, and community programs. Responsibilities include managing volunteer databases, tracking metrics, and ensuring excellent volunteer experiences. You'll partner with internal teams and community organizations to identify needs, develop training and recognition initiatives, and strengthen a diverse, inclusive volunteer workforce that advances Red Cross humanitarian goals nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers for disaster response, blood drives, and community programs.
• Coordinate volunteer assignments, schedules, and communications to ensure effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and metrics in volunteer management databases or CRM systems.
• Develop and deliver volunteer orientation, training, and recognition initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to identify and fulfill volunteer needs.
• Promote an inclusive, mission-driven volunteer culture aligned with Red Cross values.
• Monitor volunteer satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance engagement and retention.
• Support compliance with Red Cross policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
