General Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursery and distribution operations to meet production, quality, and service goals
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for growing, logistics, and support teams
• Oversee staff hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management across departments
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all operations
• Optimize workflow, inventory, and resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Partner with sales, marketing, and customer service to meet customer requirements and timelines
• Drive continuous improvement projects in growing practices, processes, and systems
• Build a collaborative, safety-focused culture aligned with Bailey Nurseries' values
• Manage vendor and service relationships to support operational needs
• Report operational performance and improvement plans to senior leadership
