Warehouse Specialist

As a Warehouse Specialist at Waste Management (WM), you'll support essential environmental services by safely receiving, storing, and distributing parts and materials that keep our operations running. You will handle shipping and receiving, maintain accurate inventory using WMS or ERP systems, and operate forklifts and other equipment while following strict safety and environmental standards. Working in a culture focused on safety, integrity, and inclusion, you'll collaborate with drivers, technicians, and operations teams, helping WM deliver reliable, sustainable solutions to communities every day.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and parts
• Pick, pack, and stage orders for internal and external customers
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates
• Organize warehouse layout to support efficient material flow
• Follow WM safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and operations on shipment timing
• Prepare shipping documentation and labels
• Assist with hazardous and recyclable materials handling per guidelines
• Use warehouse management/ERP systems to track stock and orders
