Carpenter

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support heavy civil construction projects in our Construction department. In this on-site role, you will build and install formwork and structural components for highways, bridges, and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include reading plans, laying out work, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, and ensuring precise, safe construction in the field. You will collaborate closely with project engineers and supervisors, contributing to a culture of safety, innovation, and teamwork while helping deliver high-quality transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work for bridges, highways, and related civil structures, including formwork and framing
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to lay out and install structural components accurately
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and concrete forms using hand and power tools
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and crew to meet quality, schedule, and safety standards
• Maintain a safe, organized work site in line with Middlesex's safety-first culture
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with project requirements
