Regional Class A Truck Driver

Ryder System seeks a Regional Class A Truck Driver to safely transport freight for customers across assigned routes. In this field-based role, you will operate late-model Class A equipment, complete regional deliveries, and ensure on-time, damage-free service. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate logkeeping using ELDs, freight verification and securement, and strict adherence to DOT and Ryder safety standards. You'll collaborate closely with dispatch and customer teams while representing Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture on every trip.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes following DOT and Ryder safety standards
• Transport and deliver freight on time to Ryder customers across assigned region
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs and documentation
• Secure loads, verify shipments, and handle basic freight handling as required
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams to resolve issues
• Comply with all federal, state, and company transportation and safety regulations
• Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at pickup and delivery locations
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency in routing and delivery operations
