Truck Driver CDL A No Touch Regional

Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is currently looking to hire a professional Truck Driver with a Class A CDL for regional routes. This no-touch freight position is ideal for those who excel in safe driving and efficient transportation services. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the essence of our business operations, delivering products safely and on time across various destinations without direct cargo handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck on assigned routes to ensure timely delivery.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying strictly with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately and in the required format.
• Handle basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the vehicle.

Required Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with no-touch freight handling.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.).
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
