Truck Driver CDL A Floater

Ryder System seeks a CDL A Truck Driver Floater to support dedicated and regional routes, covering varied schedules and lanes as business needs change. In this role, you will safely operate late-model Ryder equipment, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery of freight. You'll follow DOT and Ryder safety standards, maintain accurate ELD logs, and interact professionally with customers and Ryder operations staff. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A trucks on dedicated and regional routes as a floater driver
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
• Transport and deliver freight on time while preventing damage and losses
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and all required DOT and Ryder documentation
• Comply with all federal, state, and Ryder safety policies and procedures
• Secure freight properly and assist with loading/unloading as required
• Adapt to changing routes, freight types, and schedules based on operational needs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers
• Represent Ryder professionally with strong customer service at delivery locations
• Support a safety-first culture by reporting incidents and participating in training
