Truck Driver

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver Class A Flatbed to safely deliver freight for our transportation and warehousing operations. In this role, you will operate Class A tractors with flatbed trailers, secure and tarp diverse loads, and complete regional routes with a strong focus on safety and on-time performance. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate electronic logging, and adherence to FMCSA/DOT regulations. You will interact professionally with customers and dispatch while contributing to Ryder's safety-first, team-oriented culture with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A flatbed trucks to transport freight to customer locations on assigned routes.
• Secure and tarp flatbed loads per company and DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA/DOT rules.
• Follow all safety policies, traffic laws, and Ryder operating procedures.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and yard staff regarding schedules and issues.
• Assist with loading/unloading as required while protecting freight and equipment.
• Report incidents, delays, and maintenance needs promptly to supervision.
• Adhere to Ryder's safety-first culture and participate in required training.
