Truck Driver CDL A OTR

Ryder System is hiring a CDL A OTR Truck Driver to support nationwide transportation and logistics operations. In this role, you will safely operate tractor-trailers on long-haul routes, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of freight. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, following DOT regulations and Ryder safety standards, securing loads, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation. You will communicate with dispatch, provide professional customer service at each stop, and uphold Ryder's safety-first, integrity-driven culture while representing our brand on the road.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A tractor-trailer on OTR routes to transport freight safely and efficiently
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and Ryder standards
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required transportation documentation
• Secure loads properly and ensure freight is protected during transit
• Follow all DOT regulations, Ryder safety policies, and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations regarding routes and delivery status
• Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
• Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed
• Adhere to on-time pickup and delivery schedules
• Represent Ryder's safety-first, integrity-focused culture on the road
