Ryder System is hiring a regional CDL A Truck Driver in our Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you'll safely operate late-model equipment on scheduled regional routes, handling pickups and deliveries for diverse customers. Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and unloading freight, and maintaining accurate logs. You'll work closely with dispatch, follow all DOT and Ryder safety standards, and provide professional customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers on regional routes, following DOT and Ryder safety standards
- Transport freight between customer locations, distribution centers, and hubs on scheduled routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report and document any mechanical issues
- Secure, load, and unload freight using appropriate equipment and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding routes and delays
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and Ryder company policies
- Provide courteous, professional service to customers during pickups and deliveries
- Perform basic truck maintenance checks (fluids, tires, lights) and coordinate repairs as needed
- Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement at Ryder
