Class A CDL Truck Driver

Ryder System seeks a safety-focused Truck Driver CDL Class A to support our Transportation & Logistics operations. In this field-based role, you will operate late-model equipment to transport freight between customer locations, ensuring on-time, damage-free delivery. Responsibilities include performing thorough pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate ELD logs, complying with DOT and Ryder safety standards, and securing loads. You'll coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams, provide professional customer service at each stop, and contribute to Ryder's culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight for Ryder clients
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and Ryder safety and operational policies
• Maintain accurate ELD logs, trip records, and delivery documentation
• Secure, load, and unload freight to prevent damage and ensure safety
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams on schedules and issues
• Adhere to assigned routes and delivery windows while optimizing time and fuel usage
• Represent Ryder professionally, providing courteous and reliable customer service
• Report equipment issues promptly and support basic troubleshooting on the road
