Mortgage Loan Originator

Generations Home Loans is seeking a driven Mortgage Loan Originator to join our Finance team in the Banking, Insurance & Investment industry. In this role, you will source and cultivate borrower relationships, analyze financial profiles, and guide clients through the mortgage process from application to closing. You will collect and verify documentation, structure loan scenarios, present suitable products, and ensure compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate is sales-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable meeting production goals while delivering clear, timely communication and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, network, and build referral relationships to generate qualified mortgage leads
• Conduct borrower consultations, analyze credit, income, and assets, and recommend appropriate loan products
• Collect, verify, and submit complete loan files to processing and underwriting within required timelines
• Explain loan terms, fees, and disclosures, ensuring borrowers understand options and obligations
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and closing agents to move files efficiently to funding
• Maintain accurate documentation and notes in LOS/CRM systems in line with company standards
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines and internal lending policies
• Monitor pipeline, track milestones, and proactively resolve documentation or credit issues
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly production and quality targets
• Stay current on mortgage products, interest rates, and regulatory changes impacting residential lending
