Truck Driver CDL A Solo Floater

Ryder System is hiring a Truck Driver CDL A Solo Floater in the Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you will safely operate late-model Ryder tractors and trailers, running solo across multiple customer accounts and lanes as business needs change. You'll handle regional and possibly occasional overnight routes, ensuring on-time deliveries, accurate paperwork, and secure freight handling. As a floater, you'll adapt to varied schedules, routes, and freight types while maintaining strict DOT and Ryder safety, compliance, and inspection standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers on solo regional and dedicated routes
• Float between multiple Ryder customer accounts and lanes as business needs change
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per DOT and Ryder standards
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery while complying with HOS and safety regulations
• Secure freight properly and handle loads with care to prevent damage
• Use ELDs and maintain accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and Ryder operations teams
• Adapt to variable schedules, routes, and freight types, including possible overnights
• Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety procedures and policies
• Support Ryder's culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and excellent service
