Truck Driver CDL B Solo Regional Floater

Ryder System is hiring a CDL B Solo Regional Floater Truck Driver to support regional routes across assigned territories. In this role, you will safely operate straight trucks to transport freight between distribution centers, customer sites, and Ryder facilities while covering for regular route drivers. Responsibilities include conducting accurate pre- and post-trip inspections, following all DOT and Ryder safety policies, managing logs and basic paperwork, securing loads, and providing professional, on-time service. You'll work with dispatch and operations teams, adapt to changing routes, and represent Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture on every trip.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL B straight truck on regional routes as a floater, covering various lanes and customers
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
• Transport freight safely and efficiently between warehouses, customer sites, and Ryder facilities
• Secure loads, verify documentation, and complete basic shipping/receiving paperwork
• Follow all DOT, company, and customer safety policies and procedures
• Communicate with dispatch and operations to manage route changes and delivery schedules
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at every stop
• Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate maintenance as needed
