Truck driver CDL A Regional

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to and from specified locations in line with delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure proper working conditions of the truck and compliance with standardized procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service status, adhering to federal regulations, including DOT.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel to report delays, hazards, or accidents.
• Ensure the security of the cargo during transit.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations associated with the operations of heavy vehicles.

Required Skills

• Ability to manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
