Truck Driver CDL A Solo

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A tractor-trailer safely on assigned local or regional routes
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and Ryder safety policies and procedures
• Use ELD and required documentation to maintain accurate hours-of-service and trip records
• Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent damage and ensure weight compliance
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery status
• Provide professional customer service at docks, yards, and delivery locations
• Follow assigned schedules while adapting to hourly and flexible route needs
• Report incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
• Care for assigned equipment, fueling, and basic preventive checks
