Ryder System is hiring a CDL Class A Solo Regional Truck Driver to support our dedicated transportation network. In this field-based role, you will run consistent regional routes, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries for leading brands while upholding Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture. Responsibilities include performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, following DOT/FMCSA regulations, maintaining accurate electronic logs and shipping documents, and communicating closely with dispatch and customers. You'll secure and handle freight as needed, report maintenance issues promptly, and participate in ongoing safety and skills training with opportunities for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailer on regional routes following DOT and Ryder safety standards
  • Complete timely pickups and deliveries for dedicated customers across the region
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting defects and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Accurately manage logs, shipping documents, and electronic records
  • Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time service and resolve delivery issues
  • Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and freight securement procedures
  • Handle freight loading/unloading as required using pallet jacks or liftgates
  • Report incidents, delays, and maintenance needs promptly
  • Support Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture on every route
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve driving and safety performance
