Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to client sites, adhering strictly to all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is mechanically sound and report any issues or concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and log books according to DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service teams to report delays, arrivals, and delivery issues.
• Adhere to Ryder's and customers' safety policies and procedures.
• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
