Responsibilities

• Operate Ryder trucks with a Class A CDL to deliver goods to various locations within assigned routes efficiently and on time.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork including logs, reports and vehicle condition reports.
• Adhere strictly to route and delivery schedules as designed by the logistics team.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and transportation management to report delays, issues in routes or accidents.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to operate a heavy truck and other related transportation vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of operation, and inspection and maintenance.
• Exceptional navigational and route management skills.
