Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A truck to transport goods to different locations within a designated route.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety protocols.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain communication with dispatchers and respond to dispatch calls as required.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and safety procedures while driving and handling freight.
• Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts.

Required Skills

• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Excellent knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
• Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
