Truck Driver CDL A Regional Nights

Ryder System is hiring a Regional CDL A Truck Driver for night shifts, transporting freight between distribution centers and customer locations. You will operate late-model tractors and dry van/reefer trailers, follow all DOT and Ryder safety standards, and complete accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation. This role includes route planning, vehicle inspections, and secure cargo handling. You'll work with dispatch and warehouse teams to maintain on-time performance while representing Ryder with professional, customer-focused service across assigned regional routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A tractor-trailer on regional night routes between distribution centers and customer sites
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations, including hours-of-service and load securement rules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Handle, secure, and verify freight; ensure accurate counts and damage-free deliveries
• Use electronic logging devices and onboard technology to track hours, routes, and deliveries
• Maintain delivery documentation, bills of lading, and proof of delivery with high accuracy
• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to meet delivery windows and resolve issues
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at delivery and pickup locations
• Manage routes to optimize on-time performance while complying with safety requirements
• Support Ryder's safety-first culture and participate in required training and certifications
