CDL A Truck Driver

Ryder System is hiring a CDL A Truck Driver for OTR routes supporting nationwide logistics operations. In this safety-first role, you'll operate late-model tractors, hauling freight between distribution centers and customer locations. Responsibilities include safe driving, pre/post-trip inspections, accurate logkeeping, and freight securement. You'll coordinate with dispatch, follow DOT and Ryder policies, and deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A tractor-trailer for OTR routes delivering freight safely and on time
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs per DOT regulations
• Secure, load, and unload freight following Ryder safety and handling standards
• Communicate with dispatch on route status, delays, and equipment issues
• Follow all federal, state, and company safety and compliance policies
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at delivery and pickup locations
• Report vehicle defects and coordinate maintenance with fleet support
• Manage hours-of-service to ensure legal and efficient trip planning
