Responsibilities

  • Operate CDL Class A tractor-trailer equipment to haul flatbed freight safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
  • Secure and tarp flatbed loads according to company procedures and FMCSA regulations.
  • Plan routes, manage hours-of-service, and maintain accurate electronic logs using ELD systems.
  • Deliver freight on time while adapting to traffic, weather, and road conditions to maintain safe operations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and terminal staff regarding load status, delays, and delivery needs.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
  • Follow all FMCSA/DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide courteous service at customer locations.
  • Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance as needed to keep equipment in safe operating condition.
