CoolSys, a leader in sustainable, energy-efficient HVACR solutions, is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician to join our HVAC Wholesale team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings for clients across North America. You will diagnose system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service on-site. Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration racks, split systems, RTUs, and controls.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to optimize system reliability, performance, and energy efficiency for commercial and industrial customers.
  • Install, start up, and commission HVAC/R equipment and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Cool
  • Sys standards.
  • Identify root causes of system issues using gauges, meters, and advanced diagnostic tools, recommending effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, EPA regulations, and local codes, maintaining clean and safe work areas on customer sites.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, recommended repairs, and system performance, building strong client relationships.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and time on site using mobile work order systems, ensuring accurate and timely service records.
  • Collaborate with the Technical & Maintenance team to share knowledge, support complex projects, and mentor less-experienced technicians as needed.
  • Support energy-efficiency and sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits, and performance improvements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and dedication to customer uptime.
