Flatbed CDL-A Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A flatbed truck on regional and over-the-road routes
• Secure, tarp, and inspect flatbed loads in compliance with DOT and company standards
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects
• Follow all federal, state, and company safety regulations and policies
• Maintain accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation using ELDs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery updates
• Manage time to meet delivery schedules while maximizing miles and earnings
• Protect freight and equipment, ensuring proper load balancing and securement
• Provide professional customer service at shippers, receivers, and consignees
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and performance reviews
