Responsibilities
- Operate CDL Class A tractor-trailer equipment to haul flatbed freight safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Secure and tarp flatbed loads according to company procedures and FMCSA regulations.
- Plan routes, manage hours-of-service, and maintain accurate electronic logs using ELD systems.
- Deliver freight on time while adapting to traffic, weather, and road conditions to maintain safe operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and terminal staff regarding load status, delays, and delivery needs.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Follow all FMCSA/DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide courteous service at customer locations.
- Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance as needed to keep equipment in safe operating condition.
