Local Truck Driver

Lew Thompson & Son Trucking, Inc., a family-owned carrier based in Harrison, Arkansas, is seeking a Local Truck Driver for a dedicated route hauling refrigerated and live poultry. In this field-based role, you'll operate modern equipment, perform safe and timely pickups and deliveries for regional poultry producers, and strictly follow DOT and company safety standards. You'll complete inspections, manage temperature-controlled freight, maintain accurate logs, and communicate with a supportive operations team that works to get you home regularly while helping you grow your driving career.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a local commercial truck on a dedicated route hauling refrigerated and live poultry loads
• Complete on-time pickups and deliveries for regional poultry producers
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any maintenance issues
• Comply with DOT, company safety policies, and hours-of-service regulations
• Secure and monitor temperature-controlled freight as required
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and required documentation
• Communicate with dispatch and operations regarding schedules, delays, and issues
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers at all stops
• Care for assigned modern equipment and report repair needs promptly
• Support a safety-focused, family-oriented company culture
