CoolSys is seeking an HVAC Installation Journeyman to join our commercial and industrial construction team. In this field-based role, you'll install, pipe, and start up HVAC and refrigeration systems for retail, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical customers. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting equipment, brazing and soldering piping, running ductwork, performing refrigerant and electrical connections, and testing system performance. You'll work safely on active jobsites, collaborate with project teams, support apprentices, and deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions that reflect CoolSys' safety-first, customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, and start up commercial and industrial HVAC systems per plans and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job layouts to plan installation work
  • Braise, solder, and assemble piping, ductwork, and equipment to quality and safety standards
  • Perform refrigerant piping, charging, evacuation, and system testing
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and verify proper system operation and airflow
  • Follow all Cool
  • Sys safety policies, OSHA standards, and use required PPEComplete job documentation, reports, and material tracking accurately
  • Provide customer-focused service at job sites and represent Cool
  • Sys professionally
  • Support and mentor apprentices and participate in ongoing technical training
