Community Engagement Manager

The American National Red Cross seeks a Community Engagement Manager to lead outreach that advances our humanitarian mission. In this role, you will build relationships with community partners, coordinate volunteer recruitment, and support disaster response and blood donation initiatives. You will develop local engagement strategies, organize events and education campaigns, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to expand services. Ideal candidates bring nonprofit or community organizing experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for compassion-driven, inclusive service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead community engagement strategies aligned with Red Cross humanitarian goals
• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and local leaders
• Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers for disaster response, blood drives, and outreach events
• Plan and coordinate community events, education campaigns, and volunteer activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote programs and services in local communities
• Track engagement metrics and prepare reports to evaluate impact and inform strategy
• Represent the Red Cross at community meetings, presentations, and public events
• Support local disaster preparedness and response initiatives as needed
