The American National Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager within our Emergency Management Services team. Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage community disaster preparedness, response, and recovery programs.
- Coordinate disaster response operations, including local sheltering, mass care, and community support during emergencies.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a diverse volunteer workforce for disaster services roles.
- Organize and deliver community preparedness education, training, and outreach, with a focus on vulnerable populations.
- Collaborate with local emergency management agencies, nonprofits, faith-based groups, schools, and businesses to align disaster plans and services.
- Maintain readiness of disaster supplies, equipment, and logistical resources for local and regional responses.
- Monitor and analyze program performance, community risk, and service delivery data to guide planning and improvements.
- Prepare reports and contribute to grant proposals and compliance documentation related to disaster services.
- Represent the American National Red Cross at community meetings, emergency planning councils, and public events.
- Participate in on-call rotations and deploy to disaster-affected areas as needed, including evenings and weekends.
