Residential HVAC Service Tech

ARS-Rescue Rooter is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems for customers in the Memphis area. In this field-based role, you'll perform system inspections, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, complete repairs and tune-ups, and occasionally assist with equipment replacements. You'll educate homeowners on options, safety, and efficiency while delivering courteous, professional service. ARS/Rescue Rooter offers year-round work, ongoing technical training, a strong safety culture, and clear paths for advancement within a nationwide service network.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems
• Perform seasonal tune-ups and preventive maintenance
• Install and start up HVAC equipment and components as needed
• Explain findings, options, and recommendations to homeowners
• Prepare accurate invoices, service tickets, and documentation
• Follow all safety, code, and company standards on every job
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service
• Collaborate with dispatch and teammates to meet customer needs
